Welcome!

Hi! I'm Lindsay Tupy, the school social worker at Raven Stream. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Winona State University, where I also minored in Psychology and Child Advocacy Studies. In addition to my college degree, I am also a Licensed Social Worker through the Minnesota Board of Social Work, as well as a Licensed School Social Worker through the Minnesota Department of Education.

This is my first year as an official staff member at Raven Stream, and I am very happy to be here! I have lived in New Prague my whole life and graduated from New Prague High School. I know firsthand how amazing the New Prague School District is, and I am so excited to be working here! Outside of school, most of my time is spent with my family. I have 5 sisters (2 of them also work in the NP district) and 9 nieces and nephews!

As a school social worker, my job is to promote and support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success. I work with students in both general education and special education to help identify and eliminate barriers to educational achievement. Some of the services I provide include social skills/friendship groups, 1-on-1 check ins, motor breaks, assistance with interventions, and support for the mental and emotional health of students. Most of all, I want to make sure that every child feels supported, heard, cared for, and loved.
