About Me

Hello New Prague Families!!

I am very excited to be teaching 2nd Grade this year. I can't wait to meet all of you and have a wonderful, unique year of learning! Here's a little bit about myself:

I have been married for 20 years and we have 3 children.  Two of them attend New Prague Schools and are in grades 12th and 8th.  Our oldest will start her second year of college at UND. In my spare time I love being outdoors kayaking, boating and watching my kids activities from football, soccer and boy scouts. My husband was in the Army for 8 years, worked for PepsiCo and currently works for EcoLab.  His work has taken us to many places around the states.  I am really good at starting new things!   I have been teaching since 2002.   I started my education journey in South Dakota where I taught 1st Grade.  I then taught 1st/2nd in Oklahoma for 3 years.  While in Indiana for 5 years I taught in private schools and owned a children's gym. In Illinois I taught pre-k for 2 years. Our most recent state before Minnesota was Texas, where I taught K/1st for 4 years. This will be my 5th year in New Prague Area Schools.  My first year I was the Title 1 teacher, and the other 3 years have been in 2nd grade here at Raven Stream.

I am ready for my new adventure with your child. I can't wait to work together to make this a successful year of learning and growth!
