Meet Mrs. Casey

Welcome to first grade! My name is Sara Casey. This will be my 10th year teaching first grade at Raven Stream. Before coming to New Prague I was a Special Education Para and a substitute teacher in the Eden Prairie School District. In between these two positions I took some time off to be with my family. 

I grew up in Belle Plaine and I feel so fortunate to be teaching close to family and friends. I earned my Master's Degree and Teaching License from Hamline University in St. Paul. Before that, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

I currently live in Jordan with my husband and our children Greta (10), Miles (8) and Leo (5.5). We love spending time on the lake, watching Disney movies and playing at the park.

I am very excited for the 2022-24 school year! We have many fun lessons and activities planned. With your help, I know your child will succeed in first grade! Communication is very important to me. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year please contact me.
