The Mission and About the Teacher

I am thrilled to share my artistic vision for the students at Raven Stream. My goal is to foster a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts by guiding students toward meaningful creative success. Through the artistic process, students actively develop essential problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Our vibrant art studio explores all facets of art education, including art history, criticism, production, and aesthetics. I am passionate about continuous learning and believe that cultivating a positive, respectful, and collaborative environment empowers every student to thrive.

As a K-12 visual arts educator in New Prague with 22 years of instructional experience, I am dedicated to fostering artistic development and creative problem-solving in my students. Professionally credentialed with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (Concordia University) and a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Visual Arts Education (Minnesota State University), my curriculum integrates diverse mediums such as painting, ceramics, drawing, printmaking, collage, and mixed media. I am committed to delivering a high-quality arts education that supports and enriches our school community.
