Meet Mrs. Oberski!

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Oberski (or Mrs. O.), and I am lucky enough to be a Fourth Grade half-time teacher at Raven Stream this year. Working with a delightful group of learners for Language Arts and Math is a real joy for me, as I return to the classroom after a two year break from teaching, which I used to edit and publish the latest Chaska history book, Chaska: A Minnesota River City, 1950-2000, which came out in early 2024. 

 

In the past, though I have taught literature/language arts at the university level and at middle school levels, I found my real passion is working with upper elementary students. I rekindled that passion upon meeting my wonderful group of learners during assessment days, and look forward to a terrific year of learning, of awakening passions, and of making connections with students and staff here at Raven Stream.  

 

My husband and I have two daughters, Jill and Elizabeth (Ask my students about them!), and a 7-year-old Great Dane named Nala.  Gardening, fabric art (especially art quilting), reading, and wondering are some of my favorite activities.

 

It's going to be a fabulous adventure!
